FAQs

Q. How much does a production cost?

A. Video productions vary in cost and are dependent upon your budget, and your needs. It’s similar to purchasing a home; do you want a comfy home or an opulent castle? Each estimate is tailored to meet the needs of the individual production. Itemized costs will be provided to help you make the best choices. Remember, provide pertinent information and request specific information.

Q. Can we save money by using our own people?

A. You’re an expert for your products and services and you may be the best person for the job but, depending on the type of production, we usually recommend the services of a professional talent. We have found that, although the talent initially may seem expensive, in reality it is far more cost effective. Professionals are able to complete the work quickly, efficiently and comfortably. Often, when you’re using your own people, their on-camera inexperience tends to increase the videotaping or studio time, which adds to the number of edits and naturally impacts your cost.

Q. How long does it take to produce a video?

A. It depends on the complexity of your production requirements, the availability of production components provided by your company and the number and “layers” of key decision-makers involved. Usually it takes about 2 to 4 weeks from start to finish. We understand that often times you may need a quick turnaround, and if we’re able, we’ll go the extra mile to accommodate your needs.

Cost-Effective Tips

Pre-production planning is the key to creating a successful and cost effective production. Making important decisions before going into production is most cost effective. Production becomes costly when clients change their mind mid-production or find they have “forgotten” important information.

Save money by shooting enough footage for multiple productions. Once you have the content for a good video it is fairly easy to edit for multiple productions or formats.

Integrate strategies. Use video in conjunction with your website, brochures or manuals.

Keep it short. Most audiences’ attention span will last about 4 to 6 minutes for a promotional video.
